More vinyl reissues from Greensleeves. “Mouse and the Man” is the 1983 dancehall classic from the one and only Eek-A-Mouse – Roots Radics in full effect, produced by Linval Thompson at Channel One and mixed by Soldgie. It includes the hit single “Terrorists In The City”.

The sing-jay innovator follows up his breakthrough Wa-Do-Dem release with this quality outing from 1983. And while he keeps the dread rhythms of the singular Roots Radics band, Eek switches producers to revisit some earlier triumphs with Linval Thompson at the board. Thompson weaves a tough and spacious sonic background similar to another of Eek’s important producers of the time, Henry “Junjo” Lawes. Highlights include the title track, “Stadium Hot,” and “Schoolboy.” A top Eek-A-Mouse release. ~ Stephen Cook
