The Weakerthans are one of my favourite bands in the world and the fouth track from this album, ‘None Of The Above’ is one of my favourite songs. This was originally released in 1997 and reissued a few years ago. If you like lyrical, slightly country tinged indie rock then you shouldn’t be without this album.

The Weakerthans come from Winnipeg, Manitoba, the geographic center of North America. Their deeply lyrical music speaks of the vast open spaces and broken industrial dreams in which it was created. Founded in 1997 by former Propagandhi bassist turned guitarist/frontman John K. Samson, The Weakerthans hold deep roots in the indie scene, with drummer Jason Tait also recording and touring as part of Toronto indie collective Broken Social Scene.
