Thirteen Cities is Richmond Fontaine’s 7th studio recording and their first album to be produced at the famous Wave Lab studios in Tucson, Arizona. It follows 2005’s “The Fitzgerald”, the last in a trilogy which featured “Winnemucca” and “Post To Wire” all of which UNCUT magazine called “Masterpieces” and two of which were Album Of The Month. Thirteen Cities features contributions from Calexico and Giant Sand’s Howe Gelb, while retaining Willy’s dark lyrics many of the songs are more upbeat and the band is fully back.
